Breeze Verdant
Date: Sep 16, 2010 at 06:30:00 PM
“Folker with a rock & roll heart”
Breeze played to a very appreciative and enthusiastic Tap Room audience on July 15. If you saw him, you will, of course, want to see him again. If you missed him, c’mon out and see why he draws so well. Breeze started at age 3-4 laying in bed at night singing Little Richard, Elvis and “Anchors Away” at the top of his lungs. He’s calmed down a bit now, lets others sleep at night, and did drop the military tunes from his repertoire. If he doesn’t feel it he doesn’t play it. No cover.
Lanse Felker & The Falcons
Date: Sep 18, 2010 at 09:30:00 PM
A return engagement. We had a great time and a great audience for Lanse on May 29. Time for an encore. Lanse has been performing live for 35 years. From Maryland to Maine he has played with some fantastic musicians. His most recent group is The Falcons and they have been playing together for 12 years. The one constant has been Sal Manzi on bass. Sal has been playing since the early sixties and opened for the Isely Brothers when Jimi Hendrix was in the band. Lanse and Sal have a bevy of professional musicians to choose from whenever they perform and the size of the venue determines the size of the band. In The Tap Room they will be playing appearing as a five piece with possible guest appearances. With blues as a basis they also play various rock and roll , R & B, Reggae,Tex-Mex, Jazz, country and others! Lanse and the Boy hope to see you all on May 29th

Lonesome Brothers
Date: Sep 25, 2010 at 09:30:00 PM
A first time appearance at The Tap Room for Pioneer Valley veterans Ray Mason and the Lonesome Brothers. Before there was Americana or Alt.Country or Singer Songwriter or Roots Rock or any of the other record store bin labels of today; when new wave was crashing and hair bands were making video history, there was the LONESOME BROTHERS. Seven CD’s full of original songs and thousands of gig miles later, there still is. From the lowliest bar in the tiniest town of Western Massachusetts to Town Hall in Manhattan and Newport RI the Lonesome Brothers put it down like it’s supposed to be put down. Original, creative, pumping, swaying, digging, rocking, blues busting, curve making, straight shooting, no bullshit songs and solos. Get on the dance floor now, before the song ends, this ain’t no jam band.

Heather Maloney
Date: Oct 14, 2010 at 06:30:00 PM
A return appearance from the very talented Turners Falls native.
Heather has nearly unlimited vocal range and ability to write melodic tunes that somehow ride the line between playful folk/pop and depth-defying soul.” “
-The Middletown Press
“Sharp, poignant lyrics housed in clever acoustic compositions, accented by Maloney’s melodious, “operatic” tendencies, are really what separates her music from straight ahead, folky pop tunes. You have to hear it to fully understand.”
-Portsmouth Herald
